Course objectives

The course aims at providing students with the knowledge and understanding of the methodological, critical and practical aspects of the Discipline. It proposes geographic and disciplinary perspectives in which discipline-related projects are, or may be, activated. It shows the variability of fields of interest, enables the student to master the specific topics in order to apply them, even in other fields of study, while using the correct specific language. With the acquired knowledge, the student will be able to develop autonomous ability of connections with other disciplines in different historical periods and cultural contexts.

Course program
The course aims to explore the psychological and social factors that influence the well-being and inclusion opportunities of young immigrants, focusing on the challenges and opportunities they encounter during the process of adapting to a new country. Through a critical analysis of theoretical models related to the psychological aspects of migratory phenomena and the methodologies employed in scientific literature to study them, the course seeks to provide knowledge and skills essential for understanding the factors that impact the well-being and social inclusion of young migrants within educational communities.

A good proficiency in English is recommended

Frequency
The lessons will be in person. Attendance is not mandatory for the exam.
Exam mode
The exam consists of 25 multiple-choice questions and 1 open-ended question, and has a duration of 45 minutes.
Lesson mode
The lessons take place: Tuesday from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Vetrerie Sciarra, via dei Volsci 122 (Aula A)
