Program - Frequency - Exams

Course program
Clinico-pathologic and molecular features of diseases occurring in selected organs and systems. Approach to the decision-making process in the diagnosis, in the prevention, in the gradation and staging of the morbid processes and the control of the effects of the therapy in Soft tissue and bone, skin, hematology and lymph-node pathology. Basic elements of the techniques most used in Anatomy Pathology and morphological modifications at the macroscopic, microscopic level of simple lesions in relation to the most relevant diseases of the various systems. This program will be carried out during the II semester of the CdS with schedule of the lessons published on the website of the CdS in the section dedicated to the timetable of the lessons.
Prerequisites
In order to understand the contents of the course and achieve the learning objectives, at the beginning of the teaching activities provided for by the teaching module the student must possess the knowledge of anatomy, histology and general pathology. Cultural prerequisites: Pursuant to the teaching regulations of the CdS, please note that to take the Pathological Anatomy exam you must have passed the General Pathology and Physiopathology exam.

Frequency
Following the Regulations of the CdS, the student is required to attend educational activities, formal, non-formal, vocational. The frequency is checked by the teachers through signature / updated lists provided by the Academic Office, as established by CCL. The certificate of mandatory attendance to the teaching course is required to the student to be admitted at the final test.  
Exam mode
Modalità di valutazione in inglese This course includes a multiple choice written quiz exam that determines the eligibility to take the other teaching modules of Pathological Anatomy II and III which will be achieved by the student with a grade of not less than 18/30. The student must demonstrate that he has acquired a sufficient knowledge of the contribution of pathological anatomy (autopsy, histopathology, cytopathology, ultrastructural analysis, molecular biology) in the decision-making process of the doctor, in the diagnosis, prevention, grading and staging of morbid processes, in controlling the effects of therapy. and have a basic knowledge of the techniques most used in Anatomy Pathology and of morphological modifications at the macroscopic, microscopic level of simple lesions in relation to the most relevant diseases of the various systems. To pass the final exam it is necessary to achieve a mark of not less than 18/30 in each module and the final mark will be defined as the average of the marks of the exams of modules II and III of Pathological Anatomy and the practical test. To achieve a score of 30/30 cum laude, the student must instead demonstrate that he has acquired an excellent knowledge of all the topics covered during the course, being able to connect them in a logical and coherent way. Lesson mode
The teacher delivers lectures with traditional methods with audiovisual aids and scheduling of lessons as reported on GOMP Aule/Orari system, published on the website of the CdS.
