Let the students acquire: • basic knowledge of physics and chemistry useful for understanding the theoretical principles of radiological techniques used in general radiology and above all in oro-maxillofacial diagnostics, • knowledge on the methods of formation, transmission and above all on the effects of radiation absorption and radiation protection standards; • recognition of anatomical structures in normal and pathological conditions; • the main indications for the use of diagnostic imaging methods in all pathologies of the oro-maxillofacial area; • the peculiar aspects of local and systemic pathologies which may affect the oro-maxillofacial district.
