Educational objectives Experimental Pedagogy
The general objective of the course is both the knowledge acquisition about the main collaborative learning models and the use of technologies, and the ability to apply such knowledge by designing a final artifact: a pedagogical scenario that uses technologies according to the collaborative learning models illustrated in the classroom.
Students participate in collaborative activities in classroom and online, aimed at the construction of artifacts (concept maps, power point presentations, educational / pedagogical projects) that put into practice the knowledge "heard" in the classroom and "built" in group discussions.
The course is divided into 3 parts: in each of them short thematic lessons are held and stimuli for collaborative activities are provided.
Specific objectives are therefore:
-Knowledge and understanding
knowing the main learning and instruction models, community models; the history of the school, the main educational technologies
Understanding the role of Pedagogy within human sciences; understanding the role of technologies in individual and collaborative learning.
-Applying knowledge and understanding
Knowing how to apply this knowledge to support one's own arguments in discussion forums, to create artifacts that summarize the ideas expressed (concept maps, power point presentations), to design pedagogical scenarios that use technologies to create collaborative learning environments for different age levels
-Making judgments
Knowing how to read and interpret the results of experimental research in pedagogy.
Knowing how to evaluate and express advice within the peer review activities of the artifacts produced by the students in the course.
To be able to evaluate sources reliability while searching for information useful for group work
- Communication
Knowing how to work in a group and to contribute to the discussion and creation of artifacts.
Knowing how to communicate effectively presenting to the classroom the work of their group..
- Lifelong learning skills
Knowing how to find and evaluate useful information for individual and group work within the Internet and from the bibliographic databases.

Educational objectives Skills to be acquired
Students should know the history of child neuropsychiatry, have knowledge of the epidemiology and of the etiopathogenesis of the main developmental neuropsychiatric diseases, be able to discuss the symptoms and the evolution of disturbances in different age groups. They should acquire skills for the diagnosis of developmental neuropsychiatric disorders and for the methodological bases for its preventive and clinical, diagnostic and psychotherapeutic interventions.
Learning outcomes
Students completing the course will learn about the main stages of typical neuro-psycho-motor development of the child and will have the tools to perform a nosographic framework in Child Neuropsychiatry in order to use it in the clinical practice. They will be able to identify the neurological and psychological consequences of developmental neuropsychiatric disorders and to recognize the alterations of the neurobehavioral development.
Students will have the tools to implement a clinical evaluation and a psychological intervention in the major neuropsychiatric disorders of childhood.

Educational objectives Specific aims.
Knowledge and understading: passing the exam would imply the knowledge of the fundamental principles of developmental psychopathology, of the most important infant syndromes, of at-risk parenthood and of support programs for parents. Apply knowledge and understanding: passing the exam would imply the ability to use specific diagnostic systems for 0-3 children in relation to the main child psychopathological syndromes, identifying the main criteria for assessment and diagnosis. Making judgments: passing the exam would attest the acquisition of the critical ability to use some specific observational techniques and semi-structured interviews, to assess the main risk factors for child development and to decide which type of intervention program is most appropriate to a given population at risk. Communication skills: passing the exam would imply the ability to describe, with appropriate scientific language, the risk and protective factors of infantile psychopathology and the main syndromes. The students are given, during the lessons, both written and oral expo exercises. Learning skills: passing the exam would imply the acquisition of reasoning skills on the significant elements of a disorder, within the complex framework of developmental psychopathology, which will allow the student to deepen the basics of clinical reasoning in the course of his/her academic and professional career.

Educational objectives This course provides an introduction to the logical and epistemological foundations of the scientific research in psychology, of the most common methodological issues researchers deal with, and their possible solutions, of the main data collection procedures and experimental paradigms as they are used in psychology, and their limitations, and finally of the main ethical issues in psychological research.
Knowledge and understanding
Students will have a specific and multidisciplinary knowledge of the main issues concerning the scientific method. Specifically students will have to:
1) understand the logical and epistemological foundation of the scientific research;
2) understand the main methodological issues concerning the scientifici research in different fields of Psychology;
3) know the different data collection procedures and experimental paradigms in the different fields of Psychology, and their limits
4) know the main data analysis techniques used in the different fields of Psychology, and their limits;
5) understand the main ethical issues that characterize the scientific research in Psychology.
Applying knowledge and understanding
The students will:
1) identify and apply the appropriate statistical and methodological techniques in the different fields of Psychology
2) identify the scientific aims of a study and design the appropriate research design
3) identify and deal with the ethical issues of a research project
4) interpret correctly the results of a scientific study, indentifying its limits and possible bias
5) know how to use the main statistical analyses
6) know how to use the most common statistical analysis packages
7) communicate the results of a scientific study following the standard norms adopted in the scientific community
Making judgements
The students will
1) have the technical and theoretical knowledge to autonomously evaluate and make judgments about the results of a scientific study in Psychology
2) be able to collect and analyze scientific data, and asses their relevance to accomplish the aims of the study
3) be able to recognize and solve methodological problems
4) be able to recognize and solve the ethical issues concerning a research project
Communication skills
The students will be able to:
1) communicate the aims and the results of a scientific study in Psychology, orally and in written form, according to the standards used in Psychology
2) communicate and cooperate with non experts in order to make the multidisciplinary collaboration effective
Learning skills
The students will be able to:
1) increase and update their knowledge autonomously through the comunication channels used in the scientific community
2) apply their knowledge to different contexts
3) pursue further studies with a high level of autonomy and effectiveness
