Course program
The course syllabus covers the following thematic areas:
1) General Introduction to Dynamic Psychology
2) Sigmund Freud: Hysteria and Dreams, Topographic and Structural Models, Psychosexual Development
3) Ego Psychology and Defense Mechanisms
4) Melanie Klein and Donald Winnicott: Analytical Work with Children
5) Thematic Focus: Complex Trauma and Its Consequences
6) Thematic Focus: Attachment and Mentalization
7) Thematic Focus: Identity, Incongruence, and Gender Dysphoria
Prerequisites
Attendance of the course requires a basic understanding of the functioning of psychological dynamics within social and intersubjective contexts. Knowledge of the main methods and models of research in the social field will also be useful. The lectures are conducted in Italian; however, knowledge of English is beneficial for further exploration through research articles on specific topics that may be suggested during the lectures.

Frequency
Attending lessons is mandatory.
Exam mode
The assessment method involves an oral examination. The questions are designed to test the ability to present and syn-thesize information and concepts, as well as the effective acquisition of professional skills related to the main concepts of dynamic psychology and the thematic insights covered during the lectures.
Lesson mode
The course combines: lectures, group work, the use of video materials (clinical-diagnostic interviews and films), and discussions of clinical cases. The lectures aim to provide students with both theoretical and clinical knowledge rele-vant to the main theories of dynamic psychology. The combination of lectures and group activities promotes more ef-fective learning and stimulates the development of cognitive skills and personal resources that students can apply in various fields.
