The final exam consists of the discussion of an advanced thesis, comprising a written document, possibly in English, which presents the results of an original study on a problem of an applicative, experimental or research nature.The preparation of the thesis is carried out under the guidance of an advisor (who can be a teacher of the advanced degree program, or of other Italian or foreign degree programs, or of an Italian or foreign research center) usually during the second year, requiring approximately half of the overall time effort.
