Final exam

Course objectives

The course of master studies ends with the elaboration and discussion of one Thesis. Compared to the final exam held by the students at the end of the Bachelor's degree studies, the Degree Thesis represents an experience no doubt more complex for duration and for commitment. In continuity with the traditional degree thesis expected in the single-cycle pre-reform system, the aim of the Master's Thesis is indeed attest to the acquisition, on the one hand, of specialized knowledge and skills in the field of study; on the other hand, an advanced training that you show in particular critical autonomy and scientific research capacity. The Master's Degree Thesis should therefore be understood as the result of a work by investigation, not necessarily empirical, provided with original character: the elaborate, starting from the state of knowledge of the research object, e finding therefore foundation on an adequate knowledge of the literature e of the state of the scientific debate, must be an original contribution by the graduate student to the study of the chosen topic (generally, specific and circumscribed). It must above all must constitute an autonomous production of content, scientifically and methodologically based, that do not occur to any form of plagiarism.
