ORIENTATION AND TUTORING DURING THE PROGRAM
Activities promoted by the MA in Media, digital communication and journalism
The degree program organizes an annual orientation meeting, typically in the winter, called “Welcome Day.” During this meeting, which is hosted by one of the first-year courses, the following are presented:
- the educational objectives of the degree program;
- the educational path and presentation of the three curricula;
- the employment opportunities for graduates of the degree program;
- study abroad opportunities;
- Erasmus calls for applications;
- internship opportunities in Italy and abroad;
- the presentation of the degree program's advisors and tutors.
The degree program also offers orientation and tutoring services, in synergy with the activities implemented by the Faculty's CORET. With this in mind, the CdS has also structured specific tutoring activities aimed at inactive and non-enrolled students, setting up appropriate listening and intervention activities (e.g., the questionnaire “Giving voice to students of the Faculty of Political Science, Sociology, and Communication”) in order to address the difficulties of these specific types of students. In the same vein, the program has joined the Lab com- Laboratorio CorisTesi initiative, a permanent help desk that offers advice on writing final papers and theses to CoRiS students.
