ARTEMIJ KEIDAN

TEACHER’S CV
Artemij Keidan has been an Associate Professor of Glottology and Linguistics (GLOT-01/A) at the ISO – Istituto Italiano di Studi Orientali Department since 2020.
He obtained a PhD in Linguistics in 2005, with a dissertation on Pāṇini’s grammar.
His research interests include historical linguistics, Indo-European studies, general and theoretical linguistics (phonology, morphophonology, the axiomatization of linguistics), philosophy of language, and the history of linguistics (the Indian grammatical tradition, Renaissance and premodern linguistics).
He was a Visiting Professor at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Philosophy (2023), and a Visiting Scholar at CLUCL, University of Lisbon (2022).
He obtained the National Scientific Habilitation for Full Professor in 2023.
