THEMES AND MAIN RESEARCH ACHIEVEMENTS:
• Hydrogeological and hydrogeochemical monitoring of carbonate aquifers in central Italy for studying the interactions between hydrogeological and seismic signals.
• Characterization of groundwater circulation of Gran Sasso massif through direct (tracer test) and indirect (geochemical analysis) measures aimed at optimizing groundwater management.
• Characterization of the mixing between shallow aquifers and deep fluids (San Vittorino plain, central Italy, and Val D'Agri and Contursi area, central-southern Italy).
• Study of the potential impact of climate changes on groundwater quality (Vettore aquifer., central Italy).
• Interactions and mixing of deep and shallow groundwater due to the seismic cycle and volcanic eruptions (Iceland).
