Teaching announcements for the first semester of the 2026–27 academic year

Social Network Analysis (SNA) - thaught in English using the  AI and Analytics Platform SAS Viya for Learners
Master’s Degree Programme in Statistical Sciences
The course is also open to students enrolled in the Master’s Degree Programme in Sociology for Sustainability and the Analysis of Global Processes, for whom it is offered under the title Network Analysis for Sustainability Policies. This course forms part of the curriculum leading to the Italian–Kosovar double degree in Actors, Policies, and Strategies for a Sustainable Social, Environmental, and Economic Transition.
The course will begin on Monday, 28 September 2026, from 08:15 to 10:00, Room XII, Tumminelli Building (CU007).
Classes will be held in person according to the following weekly timetable:

• Mondays, from 08:15 to 10:00 a.m, Room XII, Tumminelli Building (CU007);
• Wednesdays, from 4:00 to 6:00, p.m. Room XII, Tumminelli Building (CU007);
• Thursdays, from 12:00 to 2:00, p.m. Room VII, ground floor of the former Faculty of Statistical Sciences Building (Building CU002).

For this academic year only, the course will be suspended after the first week and will resume on Thursday, 13 November, ending on 18 December. This adjustment is due to the lecturer’s Visiting Research period at the Université de Lille (France).

Fiorenza Deriu è professoressa ordinaria di Sociologia, con profilo metodologico. Da gennaio 2021 è membro della Governance Sapienza in qualità di Delegata della Rettrice per il Programma Erasmus Mundus e per il Coordinamento istituzionale del Programma Erasmus+ 2021-2027. Dall’a.a. 2018-2019 all'a.a. 2025/2026 è stata Presidente del Corso di Laurea in “Statistica, Economia e Società” e dall’a.a. 2016-17 a tutt'oggi dirige il Master di II livello in “Big Data. Metodi statistici per la società della conoscenza”, giunto oggi alla X edizione. È referente accademico del programma Erasmus per il Dip. Di Scienze statistiche (RAM). È docente dei corsi di “Sociologia generale”, del “Laboratorio di Ricerca sociale” nel Corso di Laurea in “Statistica, Economia e Società” nonché docente di “Social Network Analysis” nel Corso di Laurea Magistrale in “Scienze statistiche” del Dipartimento di Scienze statistiche, insegnamento incluso nel corso di laurea magistrale doppio titolo italo-kosovaro dal titolo "Actors, Policies, and Strategies for a Sustainable Social, Environmental, and Economic Transition". Membro del Consiglio scientifico della Fondazione G. Brodolini. Dal settembre 2018 al dicembre 2021 è stata membro del Consiglio scientifico della Sezione “Studi di genere” dell’Associazione Italiana di sociologia (AIS). Dal 2017 è membro del Consiglio scientifico del Laboratorio interdisciplinare di ricerca su diversità e disuguaglianze di genere “Minerva”, del Dipartimento di Scienze statistiche (DSS) della Sapienza Università di Roma. È membro di un gruppo di ricerca sugli studi di genere composto da studiose delle Università di Lujan e Neuquén in Argentina; e dell’Università di Queretaro in Messico. È stata ospite in qualità di visiting professor presso le seguenti istituzioni universitarie: “Academia Sinica” di Taiwan – Institute of European and American studies (IEAS) – prof. Chyong-fang, Ko - “University of Lujan” – Argentina (Buenos Aires) – prof. Ana Nora Feldman & Cecilia Lagunas - “University of Neuquen” – Argentina (Buenos Aires) – prof. Ana Nora Feldman & Cecilia Lagunas.E' membro del Consiglio scientifico de "La Rivista delle Politiche Sociali" (Fascia A); Assiciated Editor della “International Review of Sociology – Revue Internationale de Sociologie” (Routledge) (Fascia A) e della Riv. “Autonomie locali e servizi sociali” (il Mulino); membro del Comitato scientifico della Riv. “Welfare ed Ergonomia” (FrancoAngeli). È membro del collegio della Scuola di Dottorato in “Teoria e Ricerca Educativa e Sociale" dell'Università di Roma TRE; Responsabile accademica per la mobilità studetesca (RAM) nell’ambito del Programma Erasmus Plus. Ha partecipato a progetti di rilevanza nazionale (Prin) finanziati dal MIUR. A livello internazionale, su fondi ERDF ha lavorato dal 2008 al 2011 per il Segretariato del Programma Europeo Urbact II in qualità di “Thematic Expert” sul Progetto “ActiveAge” (9 città europee); dal 2014 in qualità “Lead Expert” su un Pilot Network sul Progetto “Healthy Ageing”. Ha scritto saggi e articoli scientifici su studi di genere e sulla violenza maschile contro le donne; sull’invecchiamento attivo della popolazione e le politiche sociali per le persone anziane; sull’impatto delle trasformazioni del mercato del lavoro sulla transizione alla vita adulta dei giovani; sulla povertà e l’esclusione sociale. In oltre 20 anni di carriera ha al suo attivo numerose pubblicazioni in termini di monografie; curatele di volumi; saggi/capitoli in volumi; articoli in Riviste scientifiche; articoli in Atti di convegni; recensioni ed editoriali.
