Course objectives:
The course aims to provide students with theoretical and applied knowledge to understand how complex organisations operate in contexts characterised by high variability and uncertainty. From this perspective, teaching develops the ability to analyse and design operational and decision-making processes as a central lever for the effective implementation of strategies and for value creation for all stakeholders, also from a sustainability and innovation perspective. Particular emphasis is placed on the centrality of techniques and tools of process management, process re-engineering and project management, enhancing the skills needed to define, design and manage process-based organisations, as well as interdisciplinary cooperation as an essential condition for competing effectively in complex and dynamic contexts.

- Process simulation and digitalisation (digital twin): digital transformation and business process management

This book is an additional text covering specific aspects of process management, process digitalisation, and risk management related to process operations.

MANAGEMENT DELL'INNOVAZIONE - FONDAMENTI DI MARKETING E COMUNICAZIONE D'IMPRESA (Faculty of Architecture) – 1st semester, a.y. 2025/2026

Course objectives and syllabus:
The Innovation Management course aims to provide students with the skills to analyse, design and govern innovation projects, from idea to market. The syllabus is structured into three integrated blocks:
Dynamics of technological innovation (sources, forms and models of innovation; standards and “dominant design”; entry-timing decisions);
Development of technological innovation strategies (definition of innovation trajectories and strategies; selection of protection and appropriation mechanisms);
Implementation of technological innovation strategies (process organisation and team management for the development of new products/services).
The learning objective is to enable students to translate the analysis of opportunities into feasible innovation strategies and operational roadmaps, choose appropriate protection tools consistent with the context, and coordinate interdisciplinary processes and teams through to the release of validated concepts and prototypes.
