Curriculum

I am an Associate Professor at the Physics Department. My research interests include gravitational-wave searches in coincidence with gamma-ray burst events, modelling gravitational-wave signals of merging black holes and neutron stars, gravitational-wave data analysis at large, nuclear astrophysics, and numerical relativity.

I am a member of the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA (LVK) Collaboration. Within the LVK, I am co-chair of the Observational Science division and Virgo Data Analysis Coordinator.

I received my PhD in Physics from Sapienza – Università di Roma in 2009. I was then a postdoctoral researcher in the Numerical Relativity Group at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics until 2013. Next, I joined the Cardiff University Gravitational Physics Group as a research associate first, and research fellow later. I started my current position in July 2018.
