Laura Pompei is an Assistant Professor (RTD-A) of Department of Electrical and Energy Engineering (DIEE), Sapienza University of Rome. Laura Pompei is a fixed-term Assistant Professor (RTD-A) at the Department of Astronautical, Electrical and Energy Engineering (DIAEE), Sapienza University of Rome. She received her Master’s Degree in Architecture in 2017, graduating with highest honors (110/110 cum laude). In February 2021, she was awarded a PhD in Energy and Environment from Sapienza University of Rome. Her research activities are primarily focused on building physics, with particular emphasis on the multidisciplinary interactions among the environment, buildings, and energy systems. Her main research topics include: environmental impact assessment of buildings, building–energy system integration, decarbonization of the built environment, smart cities, energy communities, renewable energy sources, lighting systems, and thermo-hygrometric comfort. She has collaborated extensively with leading national research institutions and universities at both national and international levels. She has served as a speaker and session Chair at numerous international conferences and is the author of more than 40 peer-reviewed scientific publications.
