Internships for the Master's degree
 

The final exam consists in the preparation of a theory-, experiment- and/or project-based dissertation on a specific topic relevant to the Master’s degree programme. The dissertation shall be developed as a result of the collection, critical analysis and summary of the relevant available documentation, and shall provide an innovative contribution in terms of the methodology used and/or methods of application. Such work must be carried out independently by the student, under the supervision of a dissertation supervisor (i.e., a lecturer belonging to the CAD or authorised by it).
The dissertation may be carried out in collaboration with both Italian and international public and private institutions, manufacturing and service companies and/or research centres operating in the relevant field. The thesis, or dissertation, shall be defended before an exam committee appointed for this specific purpose. The dissertation may be written in English

Sapienza’s Career Service supports students and graduates in the delicate transition from university to the world of work, offering a wide range of services, including:

• assistance and information on the services provided;
• individual career guidance sessions;

• partnership agreements with companies for the implementation of placement and career guidance initiatives;
• reserved selection processes;
• organisation of recruiting and career guidance events;
• organisation of Career Days.

Job placement is facilitated through specific activities organised by the Career Service and/or by Faculties and other University structures, often in collaboration with companies, public or private external bodies, and professional associations.
Career guidance activities may include seminars, workshops, and thematic events on career orientation, transversal skills, and career management skills (e.g., soft skills, CV writing, job search strategies, video CVs, social networking, Employability Lab, etc.).
To foster connections with companies and organisations, the Career Service organises Recruiting Days, Career Days, Testimonial Days, company presentations, company visits, assessment sessions, business games, mentoring programmes, and other placement-related initiatives, including those involving Alumni and corporate mentorship programmes. These events can take place either online or in person and are aimed at matching the most suitable profiles with the professional opportunities offered by employers.
Students and graduates can also attend seminars, workshops, and thematic events dedicated to placement (e.g., innovation, start-ups, business incubation, career-focused sessions, Innovation Camps, etc.).

Through the JobTeaser Sapienza online platform, students and graduates can:

• create and customize their CV;
• apply for job opportunities matching their academic profile;
• consult the list of companies and associations registered on the platform and contact them directly;
• register for recruiting events, company presentations, and Career Days.

Every year, the Career Service organises the University Career Day, aimed for students and graduates from all eleven Sapienza Faculties, as well as several thematic or Faculty-specific Career Days, such as: Career Day for Humanities and Social Sciences; Career Day for Economics and Law; Career Day for STEM disciplines.

As part of the annual series of meetings between students and businesses known as ‘inFORMIAMOCI’, the DIAG organises, with the active support of CAD lecturers, training initiatives for final-year students, in collaboration with the participating businesses.
