L’accesso è libero e gratuito nelle ore di apertura della struttura (dal lunedì al venerdì ore 9-13/14-17). I livelli disponibili per il corso di lingua inglese sono A1, A2, B1, B2 e C1 del framework europeo.

Learning Objectives The focus of the course is on English for economics and finance. The course aims to: - enhance the student's knowledge of both academic English and English for specific purposes - in this case English for business, economics and finance. - build specialized vocabulary, regarding economic and financial language, more specifically, for example – the language of banking, money, accounting and balance sheets, as well as business idioms and fixed terminology. - to review all elements of grammar at intermediate and upper - intermediate level; There is a strong focus on communication and writing; - speaking and discussion activities,practice will take place in class and lessontime with a focus on pronunciation and clarity in an international, multi-accent environments, colloquial language and professional communications, for example the language of debate and job interviews, and oral presentation practice; - writing activities will include not only grammar review exercises but also writing on curriculum subjects such as environmental economics, etc, business/professional writing such as emails, report and presentations, including descriptions of graphs/trends and paraphrasing techniques essential for writing papers and theses. There will be lessons dedicated to writing CVs and cover letter writing;

Objectives: The main purpose of the course is to introduce students to specialized language and lexis focusing on themes in economic, social and financial sectors, in order to: i) increase general and specialized vocabulary; for this purpose various topics will be dealt with, for example 'Financial Literacy', 'Digital Marketing', taken from units in the coursebook, as well as from other teaching materials, audiovisuals, and internet research; ii) strengthen acquisition of basic English in terms of syntax and grammar. The course includes the study and use of all forms of verbs in the present, future, past, the use of modal verbs and conditional structures, as well as familiarization with textual devices such as connectives, cohesion and coherence markers.
Classroom activities include grammar and writing practice, activities for listening comprehension and pronunciation, as well as speaking activities for communication practice. The aim is to develop greater autonomy and awareness of the English language.
