Tiziana Castrignanò received her PhD in Biophysics in 1999 from the University of Rome "Sapienza". Her primary research activity is the development and management of high performance bioinformatics pipelines and databases provided in many national and international bioinformatics research projects. From 2000 to June 2013 she worked at CASPUR, the SuperComputing center based in Rome, and from July 2013 to November 2019, she worked in the CINECA s High Performance Computing group, leading bioinformatic projects in collaboration with the scientists of the bioinformatics area. From 2008 to 2012 she acted as external professor of Computational Biology at the Computer Science Department of Rome University, Sapienza . In 2017 she obtained the Italian national scientific qualification as Associate Professor in Molecular Biology. She is the author of more than 50 articles published in international peer-reviewed journals in the bioinformatics and computational biology area. From December 2019, she works as bioinformatic and computational biology researcher at Tuscia University, leading the Bioinformatics Centre of the Ecological and Biological Sciences Department, where she teaches Informatics and Bioinformatics at the Biological and Ecological Sciences Department. Currently she teaches also Computational Biology , as a highly qualified expert, at the Department of Computer Science of the Rome University, Sapienza .
