Curriculum

Daniela Festa is a jurist and an urban geographer. She is a Researcher at the MEMOTEF Dip. of La Sapienza University, where she is involved in a national research (PNRR -CHANGES) on Cultural Heritage and Overtourism and in a collaborative research on housing policies in European cities and in Rome in partnership with the city of Rome. Already Post-Doc at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales de Paris (2012) and Researcher at Sciences Po, Paris (2016-2018), she has been invited as a Visiting Fellow at the Department of Sociology of Columbia University (by Prof. Saskia Sassen, 2019-2020). She has been involved in several international collaborative research on commons and was PI in a project on innovative housing policies in US and France, Maison des Sciences de l'Homme, Paris, 2020-2022. She took part in the national research "Short-Term City: Digital Platforms and Spatial Justice" (2019-2023). Her research focuses on the relationship between collective actions and urban transformations; spatial justice and urban democracy; property and urban commons. She teaches Political and Economic Geography.
