Curriculum
Francesco Laviola is an academic researcher and educator currently serving as an Adjunct Professor and Research Fellow at Sapienza University of Rome. His professional focus lies at the intersection of business management and advanced technology with a specific emphasis on how artificial intelligence impacts human resource development and corporate governance. He holds a Ph.D. in Management, Banking and Commodity Sciences from Sapienza University where he graduated with honors after successfully defending a thesis regarding the role of artificial intelligence in corporate value creation in the Human+ era.
His academic path includes international experience gained as a Visiting Scholar at Northern Illinois University in the United States and through participation in the Erasmus+ program at the University of Zagreb. Dr. Laviola’s research output has been recognized for its quality and relevance, earning him the Best Paper Award at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting in 2024 as well as multiple acknowledgments at national and international conferences. He's the Primary Track Chair of the track “From AI to digital transformation in the Human+ Era: what are the effects on business and society?” in the EURAM Management Conference - “Business for Society” Strategic Interest Group.
Beyond his research duties, he teaches "Data Analysis Laboratory for Business Decision" in the Business Management Master’s program and supports courses in Corporate Governance and Entrepreneurship. He actively contributes to the academic community as a member of the Quality Assurance Management Committee for the Ph.D. program and through his collaboration with innovative firms like Rocky.ai, where he explores the practical applications of hybrid intelligence in professional coaching.
