Team Coordination and Project Management
Currently, I lead a dynamic team of students and young researchers working on the follow- ing active projects:
Identification of phenotypic clusters predictive of susceptibility to SARS-CoV-2 infection and covid disease outcomes
Description: Utilization of machine learning methodologies for analyzing extensive serological, epidemiological, and clinical datasets to pinpoint distinct phenotypic clusters among individuals, categorized by their encounters with and responses to SARS-CoV-2.
Principal investigator: Dr. Donald Baku (research fellow)
Project reference: SerGenCovid, Cnr
RNA-Based Strategies for Cancer Therapy: In Silico Design and Evaluation of ASOs for Targeted Exon Skipping
Description: Development of a comprehensive computational procedure to aid the development of ES-based cancer treatments.
This work is part of a broader research proposal developed by Prof. Michele Milella (Verona University) and carried out by a team of researchers from various Italian research institutions and universities.
Principal investigator: Dr. Chiara Pacelli (post-doc fellow)
Collaboration: ISS, Verona University, ELIXIR Italy
Alteration of metabolic pathways in cancer
Description: Investigation of metabolism-related genes with deregulated expression in cancer
This project constitutes a PhD thesis for the Biochemistry degree program at the Sapienza University of Rome.
Principal investigator: Dr. Giulia Toti (Doctoral Fellow, Cycle XXXVIII)
Collaboration: Sapienza University and the Toulouse Cancer Research Center
Primary and secondary roles of moonlighting proteins in biology and medicine
Description: Investigation of transcript-dependent gene regulation mediated by miRNA in cancer.
This project constitutes a PhD thesis in the Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology degree program at the Sapienza University of Rome.
Principal investigator: Dr. Davide Gotta (Doctoral Fellow, Cycle XL)
Collaboration: Sapienza University and the Aix-Marseille University.
