ENRICO ZAMBIANCHI

Enrico Zambianchi, physical oceanographer, holds a Laurea in Physics cum laude (La Sapienza University, Rome, Italy), and a PhD degree in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography (Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, University of Miami, USA).

Formerly adjunct professor at the University of Miami and adjunct research scientist at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of the Columbia University, formerly full professor of Oceanography and coordinator of the international PhD program in Environmental Phenomena and Risks at the Parthenope University of Naples, since 2024 he is full professor of Oceanography, Meteorology and Climatology (SSD GEOS-04/C) at the Department of Earth Sciences of the Sapienza University of Rome.

His main research interests include lagrangian oceanography, transport and diffusione processes in the ocean, coastal and polar oceanography.
