Publications:

Co-author of 41 scientific papers on International Journals, 2 invited review papers and 6 Conference Proceedings; Since 2002, my papers have received more than 200 (2700) citations on ISI Web of Science (google scholar) – jan 2016. My Hirsch factor is 21 (24).

Talks and seminars:

More than 60 invited talks and ≈10 contributed talks at international conferences and seminars since 2002 (complete list is attached); visiting scientist at KITP Santa Barbara, USA (2009, 2011 and 2014) , Riken, Japan (2010), MPI Halle (2015).
Research Highlights:
• First explanation and prediction of superconductivity in boron-doped tetrahedral semiconductors (Phys. Rev. Lett. 2004), more than 150 citations.
• Explained the role of the interlayer band in the superconductivity of intercalated graphites; prediction of experimental trends. (Phys. Rev. Lett. 2006 and 2007, Phys. Rev. B 2006 and 2007, >200 total citations).
• Kohn Anomalies in elemental superconductors (Phys. Rev. Lett. 2006, Science 2008, 80 total citations).
• Iron superconductors: ruled out electron-phonon interaction as a possible mechanism for superconductivity in iron superconductors (Phys. Rev. Lett. 2008); wrote a review on the electronic structure and magnetism (Annalen der Physik 2011); first calculation of the effect of magnetism on the ep interaction (Phys. Rev. B 2010); investigated the role of electronic correlations on magnetism (Phys. Rev. Lett. 2012, Phys. Rev. Lett. 2015) – More than 1500 total citations.
• Superconductivity in High-pressure hydrides: Investigated the role of bonding in H3X chalchogenides (Phys. Rev. B Rapid 2015); First theoretical explanation of high-pressure phases and superconductivity in high-pressure phosphines (Phys. Rev. B Rapid 2016) – 18 total citations.

Funding and Organization:
Around 1.5 Meuro third-party research funding since 2009; co-organizer of 4 fully-funded international workshops since 2010 with a total of 500 participants.

Supervision
Co-supervisor of 4 diploma (master) students at La Sapienza - V. Garbuio (2003), M. Giantomassi (2005) and two master students at TU Graz (M. Rumetshofer, C. Kokail). Supervisor of 4 PhD students: L. Teaching Experience

Teaching assistant for Quantum Theory of Solids (2001-2004) and Lab of Computational Physics at La Sapienza, Rome; Lecturer for the course on Electronic Structure Calculations, International Master Course University Stuttgart; Numerical Methods in Physics (5th semester, TU Graz), Solid State Theory I (7th Semester, TU Graz), Solid State Theory II (9th Semester+PhD, TU Graz). Lecturer at several courses and international schools (see attached document).
