Curriculum

Fernanda Irrera is Full Professor of Electronics at the Sapienza University of Rome. She has been Coordinator of the IEEE-Electron Device Society, Italy Chapter from 2012 to 2021. In 2005 F.I. co-founded the Consortium Inter-University NanoElectronics Team (IU.NET) and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Research Center “Sapienza information-based technology innovation center for health” (STITCH).
Her current research interests are in the field of CMOS device reliability, nanostructured materials for electronics and optoelectronics, sensing devices, networks and systems for digital healthcare. F.I. was recipient of several national scientific awards, is inventor of a patent on a Body Sensor Network and co-inventor of other three patents, one of which, regarding the implementation of artificial neurons on NAND memory Flash Devices, was bought by the Company Micron Semiconductors in 2019. She is author and co-author of 130 indexed documents and has a h-index=20.
