ANTONIO COLUCCIA

He graduated at La Sapienza, University of Roma in 2004, he obtained his Ph.D in 2008 working on a project on Non-nucleosidic Inhibitors of HIV reverse transcriptase at Rome Centre of Molecular Design of La Sapienza University. He then moves to the Cardiff Welsh school of Pharmacy funded by Pasteur Institute – Fondazione Cenci Bolognetti (Borsa di studio per ricerche estero 2007). In Cardiff he worked as Post–Doc researcher at the development of small molecules as tubulin polymerization inhibitors. In 2010 he was awarded by Pasteur Institute – Fondazione Cenci Bolognetti (Borsa di studio per ricerche italia 2010) of a two years post-doc bursary to work on the development of novel anti–tubulin binding agents. In 2012 Department of Chimica e Tecnologie del Farmaco of La Sapienza University of Rome granted him with a one year research bursary titled: Application of computational procedures in the design of new antimicrobial agents.
Since July 2023 he is Associate Professor at the Dip. of Chimica e Tecnologie del Farmaco of La Sapienza University of Rome
