Claudio Bruzzese ha conseguito la Laurea (cum laude, e con dignità di stampa e pubblicazione della tesi) in Ingegneria Elettrica presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica dell’Università di Roma “Sapienza” il 27/3/2002. Ha svolto attività di progettazione presso il GRTN (Gestore della Rete di Trasmissione Nazionale) nel trimestre 16 Maggio – 16 Agosto 2002. Da Settembre 2002 ha svolto attività di ricerca presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica dell’Università di Roma “Sapienza” quale destinatario di assegno di ricerca biennale nel Settore Scientifico Disciplinare ING-IND/32 – “Convertitori, Macchine ed Azionamenti Elettrici” (titolo della ricerca “Analisi dei fenomeni elettromagnetici in dispositivi elettrici innovativi”). Nel 2005 ha superato l'esame di stato per il conseguimento dell’abilitazione all’esercizio della professione di ingegnere. Ha conseguito nel 2008 il Dottorato di Ricerca in Ingegneria Elettrica presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica dell’Università di Roma “Sapienza” con una tesi pertinente la “Diagnostica dei guasti in motori industriali tramite analisi delle grandezze elettriche di fase”. Nel biennio 2009-2010 ha proseguito l'attività di ricerca in qualità di assegnista sul tema “Sviluppo di sistemi di monitoraggio per motori/generatori elettrici di grande potenza”. Nell'anno accademico 2011/2012 ha ricoperto il ruolo di Ricercatore a Tempo Determinato presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Astronautica, Elettrica ed Energetica - DIAEE (Sezione Elettrica) dell’Università di Roma “Sapienza”, SSD ING-IND/32, svolgendo il programma di ricerca “Studio di attuatori elettromeccanici innovativi per applicazioni navali (timonerie, pinne stabilizzatrici) e relativi sistemi per la diagnostica dei guasti”. Nel medesimo A.A. è stato titolare del corso “CAD e Tecnologie di Apparati Elettromeccanici” presso il Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria Elettrica della Facoltà di Ingegneria dell'Università di Roma “Sapienza”. Nel 2012 è stato Visiting Scholar presso la University of Victoria, British Columbia (Canada). Dal 2013 al 2018 è stato assegnista di ricerca (SSD ING-IND/32) presso il DIAEE lavorando sui temi di ricerca “Sviluppo di tecniche diagnostiche per la detezione dei guasti in macchine elettriche rotanti” e “Sviluppo di metodiche non invasive per la determinazione dell'eccentricità statica e dinamica di rotori di macchine elettriche rotanti”. Il 4 Dicembre 2014 consegue l'Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale per Professori di Seconda Fascia, Settore Concorsuale 09/E2 (Ingegneria dell'Energia Elettrica). Il 21 Maggio 2016 ottiene la elevation grade a IEEE Senior Member. Dal 2019 è ricercatore a tempo determinato (Art. 24, Comma 3, Lett. B, Legge n.240/2010) presso il DIAEE, Università di Roma “Sapienza”, Settore Concorsuale 09/E2, SSD ING-IND/32, ed è titolare dei corsi “Electrical Machines” ed “Electrical Machines Lab.” presso il Corso di Laurea Magistrale (LM-28) in Electrical Engineering (erogati in Inglese) e del corso "Costruzioni Elettromeccaniche" presso il Corso di Laurea Magistrale (LM-28) in Ingegneria Elettrotecnica.
L'ing. Bruzzese ha sviluppato numerosi progetti di ricerca per la MMI nel Piano Nazionale di Ricerca Militare, e per diverse aziende (Marinarsen, Leonardo Avionics, Terna). E' stato Chairman e organizzatore della Conferenza Internazionale IEEE EFEA 2018 (Environment-Friendly Energy and Applications) svoltasi nella Facolta' di Ingegneria Civile ed Industriale dell'Università di Roma Sapienza, 24-26 Settembre 2018. E’ autore/coautore di più di 90 articoli presentati a conferenze internazionali o pubblicati su riviste nazionali ed internazionali, e detiene 3 brevetti di cui 2 con estensione internazionale PCT.

Claudio Bruzzese graduated (cum laude, and with the dignity of print and publication of the thesis) in Electrical Engineering at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of Rome "Sapienza" on 27/3/2002. He carried out design activities at the GRTN (National Transmission Grid Manager) in the quarter May 16 - August 16 2002. From September 2002 he carried out research at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of Rome "Sapienza" as recipient of two-year research grant in the Scientific Disciplinary Sector ING-IND / 32 - “Electrical Converters, Machines and Drives” (title of the research “Analysis of electromagnetic phenomena in innovative electrical devices”). In 2005 he passed the state exam for the qualification to practice the profession of engineer. In 2008 he obtained a PhD in Electrical Engineering at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of Rome "Sapienza" with a thesis on "Diagnostics of faults in industrial motors through analysis of phase electrical quantities". In the two-year period 2009-2010 he continued his research activity as a research fellow on the topic “Development of monitoring systems for large power electric motors / generators”. In the academic year 2011/2012 he held the role of Fixed-term Researcher at the Department of Astronautical, Electrical and Energy Engineering - DIAEE (Electrical Section) of the University of Rome "Sapienza", SSD ING-IND / 32, carrying out the research program “Study of innovative electromechanical actuators for naval applications (steering systems, stabilizing fins) and related systems for diagnosing faults”. In the same A.A. he was the holder of the course "CAD and Technologies of Electromechanical Devices" in the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Rome "Sapienza". In 2012 he was Visiting Scholar at the University of Victoria, British Columbia (Canada). From 2013 to 2018 he was research fellow (SSD ING-IND / 32) at the DIAEE working on the research topics "Development of diagnostic techniques for the detection of faults in rotating electrical machines" and "Development of non-invasive methods for the determination of the static and dynamic eccentricity of rotors of rotating electrical machines ". On 4 December 2014 he obtained the National Scientific Qualification for Associate Professors, Sector 09 / E2 (Electrical Energy Engineering). On 21 May 2016 he obtained the elevation grade to IEEE Senior Member. Since 2019 he has been a fixed-term researcher (Article 24, Paragraph 3, Lett. B, Law n.240 / 2010) at the DIAEE, University of Rome "Sapienza", Sector 09 / E2, SSD ING-IND / 32, and is the owner of the courses "Electrical Machines" and "Electrical Machines Lab." at the Master's Degree Course (LM-28) in Electrical Engineering (delivered in English) and of the "Electromechanical Construction" course at the Master's Degree Course (LM-28) in Electrical Engineering.
Eng. Bruzzese has developed numerous research projects for MMI in the National Military Research Plan, and for various companies (Marinarsen, Leonardo Avionics, Terna). He was Chairman and organizer of the IEEE EFEA 2018 International Conference (Environment-Friendly Energy and Applications) held at the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering of the University of Rome Sapienza, 24-26 September 2018. He is author / co-author of more than 90 articles presented at international conferences or published in national and international journals, and holds 3 patents of which 2 with international PCT extension.
