L’attività scientifica della dott.ssa De Vito Caterina è rivolta, prevalentemente, alle tre tematiche specificate nella declaratoria del SSD GEO/09: georisorse minerarie; caratterizzazione minero-petrografico-geochimica di rocce pegmatitiche di tipo NYF, LCT e MIXED; applicazioni mineralogico-petrografiche per l’ambiente “sequestering and storage of CO2 via mineralizatio”; studi minero-petrografici e geochimici per la caratterizzazione e l’individuazione delle aree di provenienza dei materiali lapidei utilizzati nei Beni Culturali; catatterizzazione di ceramiche archeologiche del Levante e Fenicio-Puniche.
