Curriculum
I am a Security Engineering Leader at Google, with over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and large-scale infrastructure. I hold a Master's degree in Cybersecurity from Sapienza Università di Roma, and multiple certifications in security testing, engineering, and red teaming.
My mission is to ensure that Google's global production infrastructure is secure by default and insecure by exception, by developing and enforcing solutions that provide the strongest security risk assurance levels, at scale. I focus on mitigating lateral movement and privilege escalation threats across the Google fleet, using both state-of-the-art and innovative security solutions developed by my teams. I also support the migration of internal security infrastructure and telemetry tools to the Google Trusted Partner Cloud (TPC) program.
Previously, I was a Cybersecurity Manager at Meta, where I oversaw the direction and execution of the company's vulnerability management program, as well as the authentication processes and infrastructures for employees. I managed a portfolio of third-party security solutions worth millions of dollars, serving as the main point of contact for these engagements. I also represented Meta at the Hyperscale Vulnerability Management Forum, collaborating with the top hyper-scaler companies in the industry. During my tenure at Meta, I received the "Redefines Expectations" performance assessment, for the leadership contribution to the global vulnerability management program.
In addition to my technical skills, I have strong leadership and team management abilities, having coached and mentored over 300 production engineers, and founded and led the OpenStack User Group Italia. I have also patented two solutions for IoT device provisioning and application issue detection, and published several papers on WiFi network dissemination and frequency planning. I am passionate about cybersecurity and its impact on society, and I constantly seek to learn new technologies and best practices in this dynamic and evolving field.
