Current academic position:
Associate Professor, “Sapienza” - University of Rome
Research interests:
-Millimeter and submillimeter instrumentation for astronomy and cosmology: design, modeling, calibration and troubleshooting;
-Galaxy clusters and large scale structure;
-Secondary anisotropies of the Cosmic Microwave Background: SZ effect;
-CMB polarization;
-Atmospheric issues for ground-based observations in the mm/submm band.
-Currently Member of the OLIMPO, LSPE, QUBIC and LiteBIRD collaborations.
Skills:
-Cryogenic techniques for operation of microwave bolometers;
-Readout electronics and data acquisition of microwave detectors;
-Photometric and spectral characterization of instrumentation for mm astronomy;
-Electromagnetic modling and characterization of microwave passive components;
-Programming for data analysis and simulation of observations (IDL, C++, Fortran, Python);
-MCMC coding and algorithms for Bayesian analysis of astronomical data.
