Il corso di STORIA DELLE RELAZIONI INTERNAZIONALI (SRI 23) presenta un'introduzione metodologica degli studi sulle identità e sui nazionalismi da Ovest ad Est, con riferimenti generali alle civiltà e alle culture dell'età moderna e contemporanea, approfondendo i fenomeni di storia culturale internazionale attraverso l'origine e gli sviluppi delle identità religiose, nazionali e politiche nel contesto euro-asiatico. Attraverso una storia della civiltà, dal XV secolo ai nostri giorni, il corso si concentrerà sulle dinamiche internazionali del XIX e soprattutto del XX secolo, fino alle questioni aperte del presente.
Esame orale finale, incentrato sugli argomenti del programma svolto in classe, con riferimento alla bibliografia prevista per l'esame e all'eventuale paper volontariamente redatto.
Lezioni in aula, seminari: i materiali presentati in aula saranno condivisi con gli studenti attraverso la piattaforma e-learning (SRI 23).

The course presents a methodological introduction of studies on identities and cultures from West to East, with general references to the civilizations in the Modern and Contemporary Age, and the articulation of cultural history throughout the outlook of national and religious minorities of the Euro-Asian worl until the present day, particularly during their evolution within the 19th and 20th centuries and their relationships of States and the international phenomenology of nationalisms and identities.
Evaluation: Oral final exam. It is carried out through a cycle of lessons and of seminars with laboratory in the classroom.

The course presents a methodological introduction of studies on identities and cultures from West to East, with general references to the civilizations in the Modern and Contemporary Age, and the articulation of cultural history throughout the elements of modernity/tradition emerging and evolving during 19th and 20th century within the relationships of States and the international phenomenology of nationalisms and identities. Obiettivi The course aims to provide knowledge and understanding of the methodological, critical and applicable aspects of the Discipline; it proposes geographical areas and sectorial perspectives in which related projects are activated; it shows the variability of fields of interest; it enables the student to master the specific topics in order to use them and apply them in other fields of study while using the correct specific language. With the acquired knowledge the student will be able to develop autonomous ability of connections with other disciplines in the various historical epochs and cultural contexts.
