Course "Additive Manufacturing and Laser Texturing" 2024-2025
General Information
The platform for "Additive Manufacturing and Laser Texturing" course is Classroom. You can access it through your institutional email address.
For the Academic Year 2024/2025, the course code for AMLT on platform is whqtudk
The teaching materials will be made available in advance of the lessons. ALL students are required to register on the platform.
The lessons will begin on Friday, September 27, 2024, and will follow the official schedule.

February 2016 Invited by Prof. Mokhtar Awang, Deputy head of Mechanical Engineering Dept. at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) to give a seminar on Feb. 12 in which she expounded on the salient topics of her research. Also in the following days (Feb. 13feb - Feb. 14, 2016), she participated in the International Conference on Technology, Engineering & Science 2016 (ICONTES 2016) Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) to which she was invited as a keynote speaker presenting a paper titled "Laser Transmission Welding (LTW) of biodegradable polyesters: Experimental results and analytical modeling."
December 2016 Invited speaker at the Global Advanced Materials & Surfaces Conference 2016 (GAMS 2016), Dec. 05-Dec. 07, 2016, Dubai, United Arab Emirates with a paper titled "Hybrid joining of Aluminium 7075 T6 with Poly Ethylene Terephthalate (PET) and Poly Ethylene Terephthalate (PET)/Poly Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (PEVA) blends."

INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC COLLABORATION:
From November 2020 to present: collaboration with Prof. Mehrpouya Mehrshad, Department of Design, Production, and Management (DPM), University of Twente (UT), The Netherlands. Shared research activities focus on topics related to 4D printing, a cutting-edge area of research that promises to revolutionize several fields; studies and industrial applications of biodegradable polymers, such as PBS; and shape memory alloys, used in a wide range of applications, from the biomedical to the aerospace area. This collaboration, as of November 2020, continues to offer both stimulating and innovative research insights as well as 4 scientific publications whose respective Digital Object Identifiers are listed:

From September 2022 to January 2023: collaboration with Prof. Carmen Madrigal Sanchez of the Departamento de Ingeniería Mecánica y Fabricación and Prof. Luis Aristides Tavara Mendoza of the Grupo de Elasticidad y Resistencia de Materiales, both affiliated with the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería at the Universidad de Sevilla. The focus of this collaboration was on additive manufacturing of components made of reinforced material. This project was an integral part of the Erasmus course of student freshman no. 1611120, with the thesis work titled "Analysis of static and fatigue behavior of polymer matrix composites, with and without carbon fiber reinforcement, fabricated by 3D printing" discussed in the Graduation Session held on 01/24/2023. Currently, the collaboration is at the stage where we aspire to disclose and disseminate the results achieved, with the goal of formalizing them in a scientific publication
