ELEMENTS OF CONDENSED MATTER PHYSICS

 

The Class of Elements of Condensed Matter Physics is the second module of the class of Modern Physics for Nanotechnology. Details on how to attend the class can be found in the Sapienza webpage. Just as a short resume, students can attend the class:

 

- in PRESENCE: students must have a valid Green Pass, must book their presence using Prodigit, and fill in the Sapienza Covid module. The class is held in Room 3 of at the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering at San Pietro in Vincoli in accordance to the official timetable of the course;

 

- ONLINE: students can join the lesson using Zoom platform using the link corresponding to the Room which can be found at the webpage https://www.ing.uniroma1.it/en/node/8977 . For your convenience, the link for Room 3 is https://uniroma1.zoom.us/j/6052362273

D. Passeri, researcher at Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering. MSc in Electronic Engineering and Ph.D. in Electromagnetism.
His research activity has been mainly focused on scanning probe microscopy techniques for the characterization of physical parameters of nanomaterials at the nanoscale. In particular, he is expert in mechanical and magnetic characterizations using atomic force microscopy based techniques. Author of more than 60 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and books. Co-editor of a book on acoustic scanning probe microscopy and of 8 journal special issues and proceedings books. Presenting or contributing author of more than 50 oral communications or posters at international conferences. Reviewer for journals focused on materials science, nanotechnology, and microscopy. He is member of the European Microscopy Society and of the Società Italiana di Scienze Microscopiche.
