Physical agents: microclimate and vibrations; noise, electromagnetic radiation and ionizing radiation. Chemical agents: gases, vapours, fumes, mists; the powders. Biological monitoring of exposed workers, biological limit values. Carcinogens. Problems in setting limits for carcinogenic substances. Notes on ergonomics and work organization; video terminals and manual handling of loads.

To successfully follow the course it is useful for the student to have knowledge of basic concepts of general pathology
