Course program
PROGRAM At the end of the third year, students must be able to: - address a clinical case, collecting data and formulating a nursing diagnosis, including actual and potential nursing diagnoses, collaborative issues (NANDA taxonomy), and developing a care plan (NIC and NOC), with particular reference to critical care situations. Demonstrate possession of all the skills required for the first and second year programs, as well as the necessary knowledge and skills to: -perform complex calculations and use decimals for drug dilutions -management of tracheostomy -blood gas analysis -manual and mechanical ventilation – BLS – Ambulance -multiparametric monitoring -management of the emergency trolley -blood and blood product transfusions -venous blood sampling from CVCs -exploratory punctures: paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture -diagnostic punctures: spinal tap, biopsy -pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care in critical care -Nursing Care in the Pediatric Area: Venipuncture, bladder catheterization, urine collection, newborn mobilization, newborn nutritional management, therapy + oxygen therapy, newborn hygiene.
