Exam mode
There are three exam sessions during the Academic Year: in September/October, in January and in June. An oral and technical-practical test is scheduled for the assessment of learning. Passing the internship test expressed in thirtieths consists of knowing how to: develop a care plan (nursing diagnosis, objectives, interventions, evaluation) relating to an articulated clinical case; correctly carry out a complex dilution of a drug; correctly carry out a procedure with a simulator. The time allowed for the practical test is 15/20 minutes; For the purposes of evaluating the practical test, clinical knowledge, problem solving skills, consistency and relevance to the development of the proposed care plan will be considered; the ability to mentally and quickly calculate a dose of medication; dexterity, dexterity, precision, respect for the technique and scientific foundations that support it, the methods of approaching the patient in the execution of the procedure and the evaluations reported in the various operating units in which the student attended the internship activity. The final grade of the internship exam is the result: a. the marks of the examination tests, the average of the evaluations drawn up by the coordinators during the clinical internship relating to the current academic year; b. adherence to the rules of conduct defined in the Regulations and recorded in the personal notes (ability to work in a team, order of uniform and person, punctuality in participation in theoretical/practical activities, compliance with the rules relating to travel, permits, delays, absences, both during theoretical and practical activities, continuity of presence in the clinical internship); c. ethical/professional behaviour; d. coherent and proactive participation in the exercises/laboratories carried out during the academic year.
Lesson mode
Lectures with the help of power point presentations, videos and other teaching material plus exercises in simulation laboratories that allow and facilitate practical technical learning and the development of clinical skills. The lecture and the simulation laboratory will also be accompanied by the professionalizing internship. Attendance will be attested by signature sheets. The internship is carried out in the operational contexts of the health and district services accredited and affiliated with the university. During the internship, the student is guided by the clinical tutors of reference who exercise a constant evaluation of the student's learning in order to achieve the maximum effectiveness of the training process. If the student does not achieve the educational objectives set for that particular internship cycle with a consequent negative evaluation, he/she is obliged to repeat it at the same operating unit or similar area according to the instructions received from the Director of Education. The referring nurse and/or the Nurse Coordinator have the duty and responsibility for the certification assessment of the internship. The evaluation is conducted at the end of the internship in a special evaluation form drawn up by the Director of Education and the Coordinators/Tutors of the year and delivered by the student to the Department Staff. The evaluation form must be completed in all its parts and must be analyzed with the student.
