Prerequisites
In order to understand the content of the course and achieve the learning objectives, at the beginning of the teaching activities planned for the module, the student must possess:
1. Basic knowledge of biological and social sciences.
2. Proficiency in written and spoken communication in English.
3. Interest in psychological topics and their application in healthcare settings.
4. Familiarity with fundamental concepts of anatomy and physiology.
The following prerequisites are required: passing the first-year exams.

For the completion of the exam, it is recommended to start theoretical study from the beginning of the course attendance. For consultation and further study, the recommended books are:

Frequency
Following paragraph 5 of the Regulations of the Dental Hygiene School, the student is
required to attend educational activities, formal, non-formal, vocational. The frequency is
checked by the teachers through signature / updated lists provided by the Academic Office,
as established by CCLID. The certificate of mandatory attendance to the teaching course is
required to the student to be admitted at the final test.
Exam mode
To pass the exam, a student must achieve a score of no less than 18/30 in each module. The student must demonstrate sufficient knowledge of the topics covered in class, a basic understanding of the subject matter, and the ability to formulate independent thoughts. To achieve a score of 30/30 with honors, the student must demonstrate excellent knowledge of all the topics discussed during the course, being able to connect them logically and coherently. During the oral exam, three questions will be asked based on the syllabus. If the student does not provide sufficient answers to the three questions, additional questions will be asked to better assess whether there is a minimum level of preparation necessary to pass the exam.

Lesson mode
The teacher delivers lectures with traditional methods with audiovisual aids and scheduling
of lessons as reported on GOMP Aure/Orari system, published on the website of the Dental
Hygiene School.
During the lessons, simulations and interactive work will be conducted in order to promote the learning of the topics covered.
