Course program
Acquisition of the knowledge and skills to manage technical work in the workshop and fitting room. Knowledge of the range of prosthetics and orthoses used in modern orthopedic techniques. Ability to understand physician prescriptions and the ability to select the most appropriate materials for the construction of prosthetics and orthoses.
Study and analysis of at least 10 cases of prosthetics for amputations of the upper and lower limbs, the hand, and the foot.
Study and analysis of at least 10 cases of trunk orthoses (vertebral and cervical deformities and pathologies).
Study and analysis of at least 10 cases of upper and lower limb orthoses.
Study and analysis of at least 10 cases of foot orthoses (orthopedic footwear, insoles).
Prerequisites
Knowledge of human anatomy, human physiology, and major musculoskeletal pathologies.

Exam mode
Teaching assessment methods are characterized by exam sessions scheduled during scheduled sessions. The exam includes a practical laboratory test and an oral exam. The elements considered for assessment purposes are: knowledge of the subject matter; language skills; reasoning and logical articulation skills; and the ability to integrate skills in solving practical cases.
