Historical and regulatory evolution of the Prevention Technician role. Skills and operational areas of the Prevention Technician. Essential Levels of Care (LEA) – prevention area. National Prevention Plan (PNP): structure, objectives, and tools. Organization of Prevention Departments and interactions with the NHS. Regional and local health planning. National and European health and prevention policies. Risk communication strategies and public health promotion. Prevention Technician’s role in prevention campaigns and interprofessional settings.

Basic knowledge of health determinants, health system organization, and the concept of collective prevention. Ability to critically read institutional documents.

Attendance is mandatory. Active participation is essential to understand and internalize tools and dynamics of public prevention.

Oral exam. The assessment will consist of an individual interview aimed at verifying: understanding of theoretical content related to the evolution of the Prevention Technician profession and prevention planning in Italy; ability to critically analyze regulatory and planning documents (e.g. PNP, LEA);

Lectures, analysis of regulatory and planning documents, case study discussions, planning exercises.
