Mind-body relationship and the biopsychosocial model. Module 2 – Nurse-Patient Relationship Effective communication: active listening, empathy, assertiveness. Managing emotions of the patient and the nurse. Helping relationship and basic psychological support. Module 3 – Stress, Pain, and Illness Stress concept and coping strategies. Psychological reactions to acute and chronic illness. Psychological aspects of pain management. Module 4 – Main Psychological Disorders Anxiety and depression. Psychosomatic disorders. Cognitive disorders and dementia. Nursing approach to patients with mental illness. Module 5 – Specific Clinical Settings Psychology in critical care (ICU, emergency). Oncology, terminal patients, and palliative care. Support for pediatric patients and families. Psychological aspects in geriatrics. Module 6 – Basic Tools and Techniques Clinical interview and behavioral observation. Stress and burnout management for nurses. Teamwork and interdisciplinary interaction.
