OBJECTIVES OF THEORETICAL-PRACTICAL INTERNSHIP 3RD YEAR At the end of the third year of the course, the student must be able to recognize the evolution of the clinical situation in the patient (improvement, worsening), applying knowledge and independent judgment, using communication and relational skills and demonstrating responsibility and learning/self-assessment capacity. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:  carry out an assessment in order to identify priority problems and implement appropriate interventions independently in the critical and/or unstable patient.  guarantee therapeutic prescriptions independently, considering any risk factors and ethical/legal aspects, evaluating their effects.  plan and manage care for a group of patients taken into care.  manage the relationship with the patient and his/her family members  relate to the care team and demonstrate the ability to work in a group.  Plan the main interventions related to clinical care conditions addressed during the course of studies relating to Nursing Diagnoses and Integrated Management Problems identified;  Know how to correlate the results of instrumental and laboratory tests with the clinical ones addressed during the training course;  Know and apply the main regulatory and ethical references of the nursing profession.  Apply the principles of EBN, nursing research methodology, guidelines, protocols and procedures. EXPECTED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS The student must demonstrate that he/she possesses the knowledge and skills acquired in the 1st and 2nd year and the following in the 3rd year: o Perform acceptance and taking charge of the person with low, medium, high complexity and develop care plans; o implement the procedure for carrying out hygiene care in patients with low, medium, high complexity; o implement procedures and interventions aimed at preventing pressure ulcers through the use of risk assessment scales, mobilization, devices, and aids. o detect, evaluate and document vital parameters; o perform, evaluate and document the ABG and recognize the main anomalies; o detect, evaluate, document the hydro-electrolytic balance; o perform 12-lead ECG with recognition of the main anomalies; o know and manage multi-parameter monitors and defibrillators; o perform CPR o perform, evaluate and document the administration of all types of therapies by calculating dosages and administration times; o manage all types of intravascular access; o perform procedures, assistance and monitoring of multi-infusion therapies; o perform procedures, assistance and monitoring of transfusion therapies; o perform procedures, assistance and monitoring of chemotherapy therapies; o perform nutritional status assessment, manage enteral/parental nutrition in low, medium and high complexity patients, including management of nutrition devices and PEG; o management of all types of stomas; o manage patients ventilated through a tracheostomy tube or OT tube; know the main types and management of mechanical ventilation; o manage the surgical patient in all phases; o Interpret and evaluate the main diagnostic tests; o Prepare, manage and monitor the person undergoing diagnostic tests (radiological, ultrasound, endoscopic, scintigraphic, biopsy, etc.); o Prepare, manage and monitor the patient undergoing endoscopic interventions; o Prepare, manage and monitor the patient during exploratory punctures: thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, aspirate and bone marrow biopsy;

To access the 1st internship of the 3rd year, you must have passed the 1st and 2nd year internship exam
