Course objectives

Learning general outcomes At the end of the course, the student must acquire knowledge, skills and ability to perform care activities in reference to the Functional Health Models of Marjory Gordon. In particular it aims to provide the elements for a preliminary knowledge in an understanding and application of global and systematic assessments of the patient, recognizing in the person the signs of normality and change in the health / disease condition, with the use of tools and integrated systems, taking into account physical, social, cultural, psychological, spiritual and environmental factors. Learning Outcomes 1ST YEAR At the end of the course the student will be able to: • Knowledge and understanding: to know the physiopathological, psychological and socio-cultural conditions that influence the Functional Health Models of Marjory Gordon. • Applying knowledge and understanding: carry out, through data collection and analysis, the correct procedure for welcoming users in health services, to promote safety and comfort, guarantee the mobilization and prevention of falls, infections and pressure injuries, to ensure personal hygiene, detection of respiratory activity, cardio-circulatory activity, thermoregulation, nutrition, elimination and freedom from pain. • Making judgements: be able to argue the meaning of each welfare activity according to the principles of EBN. • Commiunication skills: to be able to illustrate in a synthetic and analytical way, highlight the relevant points, provide examples, know how to use a scientifically correct language. • Learning skills: knowing how to read and understand publications, assistance protocols, knowing how to ask questions. Knowing how to search the bibliographic sources necessary to acquire new knowledge. 2ST YEAR At the end of the course the student will be able to: • Knowledge and understanding: to know the physiopathological, psychological and socio-cultural conditions that influence the Functional Health Models of Marjory Gordon. • Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: perform, through the collection and analysis of data, the correct procedure for the reception and management of the user in health services in the pre-hospitalization phase and in the Day Hospital regime, for the management of enteral, parenteral, topical and transmucosal therapy, peripheral venous access placement, venous and capillary blood sampling, blood culture, management and administration of enteral and parenteral artificial nutrition, patient management during invasive diagnostic-therapeutic procedures: coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty and peripheral (stent), paracentesis, thoracentesis, rachicentesis and medullary punctuation; management of blood transfusion, chemotherapy and drugs. • Making judgments: being able to argue the meaning of each welfare activity according to the principles of EBN. • Communication skills: being able to illustrate in a synthetic and analytical way, highlight the relevant points, provide examples, know how to use a scientifically correct language. • Learning skills: knowing how to read and understand publications, assistance protocols, knowing how to ask questions. Knowing how to search the bibliographic sources necessary to acquire new knowledge 3ST YEAR At the end of the course the student will be able to: • Knowledge and understanding: to know the physiopathological, psychological and socio-cultural conditions that influence the Functional Health Models of Marjory Gordon. • Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: perform, through data collection and analysis, the correct procedure for the treatment of pressure injuries, stoma management: tracheostomy, urostomy, ileostomy and colonstomy, cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers (CPR) and clearing of the streets areas, triage, trauma in first aid and dental hygiene. • Making judgments: being able to argue the meaning of each welfare activity according to the principles of EBN. • Communication skills: being able to illustrate in a synthetic and analytical way, highlight the relevant points, provide examples, know how to use a scientifically correct language. • Learning skills: knowing how to read and understand publications, assistance protocols, knowing how to ask questions. Knowing how to search the bibliographic sources necessary to acquire new knowledge.
