Course program
The course begins with an overview of cardiovascular prevention principles, emphasizing modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors. It then addresses acute and chronic coronary syndrome prevention, aligned with ESC guidelines for CCS and ACS, and explores heart failure prevention and management. A dedicated section focuses on diabetes and cardiovascular disease, examining integrated care models and multidisciplinary management strategies. The syllabus continues with prevention and treatment of dyslipidaemias, management of arterial hypertension, and prevention and management of cardiac arrhythmias, highlighting the nurse’s role in clinical assessment, patient education, and therapeutic adherence. Teaching methods combine lectures, interactive discussions, and case-based learning to strengthen clinical competence and evidence-based reasoning in cardiovascular care.
