Course program
1. Definition of pharmacology, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, modes of drug administration and absorption routes.
2. Principles of radioactivity. Definition of radiopharmaceuticals, good preparation standards (NBUPR).
3. Molybdenum / technetium generator ("dry" and "damp" generators, generator output). Technique Chemistry, Radiation Marking Principles: Lewis Acids and Bases, Sn-Tc Redox Reduction, Tc, "hot" and "cold" marking
4. Pertechnetate (TcO4-) as a radiopharmaceutical. Radiopharmaceuticals for imaging of the osteoarticular and cardiovascular system.
5. Radiopharmaceuticals for brain imaging, genitourinary urinary system, radiocolloid and pertecnegas imaging. 99mTc-HMPAO and cell marking techniques.
6. Marking with iodine (123I, 131I) and with radiometals (111In, 68Ga, 177Lu, 90Y).
7. SPECT receptor receptors (123I-MIBG, 111In-Octreoscan)
8. Cyclotron and PET radiopharmaceuticals (18FDG, 18F-choline, 18FLT, 18F-MISO, 18F-DOPA). Radiopharmaceuticals for amyloid.
9. Radiopharmaceuticals for radiometabolic therapy (131I, 131I-MIBG, 177Lu-DOTATATE / 90Y-DOTATOC, 90Y microspheres, 223RaCl2).
10. Quality Controls (TLC, Radiochromatography).
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of physics, organic chemistry, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and pathology is recommended.
