Course program
1. Nutritional intervention in some Inherited Metabolic Diseases: defects in amino acid metabolism (phenylketonuria), defects in carbohydrate metabolism (classical galactosemia, hereditary fructose intolerance) Discussion of clinical cases and development of nutrition plans 2. Nutritional intervention in drug-resistant epilepsy: ketogenic diet Discussion of clinical cases and development of nutrition plans 3. Nutritional intervention in dysphagia Discussion of clinical cases and development of nutrition plans 4. Nutritional intervention in metabolic diseases: metabolic syndrome, obesity, diabetes, dyslipidemia Discussion of clinical cases and development of nutrition plans 5. Nutritional intervention in gastroenterological diseases: gastroesophageal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome, diverticulosis disease, chronic inflammatory bowel disease Discussion of clinical cases and development of nutrition plans 6. Prerequisites
Only dietitian students who have passed Internship II are eligible to take the course

Frequency
Attendance is compulsory (for 100% of the teaching hours), according to the course regulations.
Exam mode
The examination will consist of a written and oral test: discussion and development of a nutritional plan in a clinical case
