Exam mode
Proficiency examinations are conducted in oral form, with a grade between 18/30 (sufficiency) and 30/30 (maximum grade, with the possibility of honors for cases of excellence) in the case of success. To pass the exam with the minimum grade, the student must demonstrate that he or she has acquired sufficient knowledge of the topics covered and is able to expound on them with propriety of language and the ability to make the necessary connections.
To pass the exam with the highest grade, the student must demonstrate that he or she has acquired excellent knowledge of all the topics covered, being able to connect them logically, coherently and without neglecting the close link between techniques and ideologies. An in itinere assessment may be planned. In that case, the possible test, of which adequate notice will be given, will take place in written form and will consist of open-ended questions.
The level of preparation is evaluated in thirtieths, and the determination of the final grade takes into account both the outcome of the oral examination (80 percent) and active and fruitful participation in the course e-activities (20 percent).
Lesson mode
Teaching is conducted entirely at a distance. All teaching activities are conducted online, through the platform and according to the e-learning model of UnitelmaSapienza.
The teaching has a total duration of 36 hours of teaching (dispensational plus interactive), including 24 video lectures equivalent to 24 hours of dispensational teaching activities (DE) and 12 hours of interactive teaching activities (DI), and involves a total student commitment of 150 hours, which includes attendance at dispensational teaching and interactive teaching activities, individual study, and participation in other self-study and self-assessment activities.
The course uses the following teaching methods and tools:
- Video lectures lasting about 30 minutes (didactic delivery - DE, through which the student acquires knowledge, understanding and learning skills);
- Individual study of the slides and teaching materials attached to the video lectures as well as in-depth materials attached to the etivities (activity through which the student acquires knowledge, comprehension skills and learning ability);
- Delphi etivity: through the question/answer forum, the student practices applying acquired knowledge and skills to analyze, understand and solve practical issues, elaborating and arguing in written form legal solutions, to be later also exposed in oral form in the end-of-course examination (interactive didactics - DI, through which the student acquires ability to apply knowledge and understanding, autonomy of judgment and communication skills);
- Case-study analysis webinar, etivity consisting of three phases:
1. study of in-depth practical case material provided by the lecturer;
2. webinar in which students, guided by the lecturer and in an interactive and collaborative learning context, analyze and discuss/simulate the case study;
3. development of a group work in written form, to be later also presented in oral form in the end-of-course examination (interactive didactics - DI, through which the student acquires ability to apply knowledge and understanding, autonomy of judgment and communication skills);
- Reversed class exercise: students are required to produce a short video lecture, with speaker's take and slides, on a topic identified by the lecturer. The product is uploaded to the platform and evaluated in peer-feedback through a rubric provided by the lecturer and implemented through the Moodle questionnaire. The goal is to identify areas for improvement and provide specific guidance on how to enhance the product. It closes with a return webinar in which the lecturer comments on both the products and the peer-feedback (interactive didactics - DI, through which the student acquires ability to apply knowledge and understanding, autonomy of judgment and communication skills).
A qualified Tutor provides assistance and support to the students' learning process.
