Project Management in Building Construction

REPRESENTATION OF A CONSTRUCTIBLE PROJECTThis course primarily aims at training the role of “construction technician”, providing – besides the necessary basic training in the applicable regulations – the methodological and operational instruments enabling the acquisition and implementation of the contract, through and by means of the proper interpretation of the project designs, thus translating the input information into graphs and sites instructions, according to the “graphical conventions” of technical and engineering communication. Particular importance and, indeed, significance is given here – based on case studies drawn from both the public and the private market sectors – to work methods based on data shared among the other departments that typically comprise a construction company (sales, procurement, site). For the purpose of fostering and encouraging the opportunities for the exchange and assessment of experiences among the course students, the lessons will feature the participation of persons working in the construction industry: contractors, technical managers, expert consultants, etc.
