Urban and building technical plants
Course objectives
TECHNICAL SYSTEMS AT THE URBAN LEVEL AND FOR BUILDINGSThe aim of the course is to focus on the role of HVAC, electrical, acoustic and lighting systems in the building process, from the point of view of the Energy Manager, in terms of their installation and maintenance. Preliminary notions will be provided on thermohygrometric well-being and indoor air quality (IAQ), on sound and light well-being, which will serve as reference points for building up knowledge of plant technology issues. The classification of the HVAC systems will serve the purpose, combined with an understanding of the functional diagrams, for comprehending both the underlying general design criteria and the importance of plant maintenance. With regard to electrical systems, the course offers notions on the general diagrams of systems for civil buildings, from the transformer station and privileged energy sources to power distribution, lighting systems and checks on components and systems.
