Design, Multimedia and Visual Communication

Specific objectives: The module deals with providing knowledge and fostering the learning of methods and techniques for the collection, processing, interpretation and organization of data for communication purposes through the development of visual projects. The course aims to provide students with the tools to develop critical skills in approaching data through two learning modes: a frontal mode based on specific theoretical contributions (frontal lectures, involvement of external experts, in-depth bibliographical and research studies) and a practical mode based on design exercises and experimental activities. The objective of the module is, therefore, the acquisition by the students of critical and operative capacities with respect to theoretical-methodological, technical and design knowledge, their putting into practice through graphic-visual proposals that foresee the application in an effective and innovative manner of the communication tools proper to the field of representation and the development of new forms of visual language.
