National Financial Accounts
“Go beyond the headlines—learn to read the numbers that drive crises, policies, and the global economy.”
Why did no one see the 2008 financial crisis coming—and could we miss the next one? Behind every headline on debt, trade, or inflation lies a deeper story in the numbers. This course will help you uncover that story.
Over six weeks, you’ll explore how households, firms, governments, and the rest of the world connect through financial accounts, balance sheets, and trade flows. We’ll examine government finances, global imbalances, and the lessons of past crises, from 2007–2009 to COVID-19. Along the way, you’ll learn to read and use key institutional reports from the IMF, ECB, BIS, OECD and others.
The course is on Moodle IDEA Platform of Sapienza.At the end of the course, the student downloads the certificate and sends it to   Prof.ssa Vantaggi

***Degree of Study Activities***
The tools the Degree of Study uses to help enrolled students enter the workforce are:
Career guidance, with counseling services to help students understand their aptitudes, interests, and skills, and choose the most suitable career path;

Internships and placements: opportunities for practical experience in companies or organizations that allow students to apply the skills acquired during their degree program; through Faculty and University Placement services, meetings with companies are held, dedicated to the selection of graduate personnel.

Targeted training: Workshops and laboratories are organized to develop specific skills needed by the job market. Among the initiatives promoted, we highlight the activation of privileged channels aimed at job placement or internships, both curricular and extracurricular, possibly related to thesis projects leading to the master's degree.
These opportunities are realized through collaborations with leading companies operating in the financial, insurance, and actuarial sectors, including: Iccrea Group, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti S.p.A., UBS, Horizon, Net Insurance, EP Produzione, Fides S.p.A. (Banco Desio Group), and Byblos Fund.

The Degree Program organizes, in collaboration with companies, cross-disciplinary training sessions on soft skills, with the aim of enhancing skills in demand in both academia and the job market.
The following activities are offered:

· Warm up your skills (BCC Iccrea Group): Activities aimed at developing communication skills for creating and customizing your resume, and a simulated job interview.

The Soft Skills Workshop, coordinated by the Faculty of Economics in partnership with the Young&CO association and several national and international companies, provides an experiential training program designed to support personal growth and the approach to the world of work. The goal is to equip participants with the tools to learn and internalize the key "soft skills" needed to operate successfully in the workplace, improve their approach to job searching, effectively navigate interviews and selection tests, and test their acquired skills through practical activities (business games; internships for deserving students).
