Course program
1. Introduction. Elements of economics; 2) Market forms Perfect competition; Monopoly; Oligopoly 3) Technological innovation and blockchain; 4)Artificial Intelligence & AI; 5) Surveillance Capitalism
1) Knowledge and understanding; at the end of the course, the student will have to demonstrate that he has understood the main issues of economics and innovation.
2) Applying knowledge and understanding; The student must be able to read and interpret economics papers and books.
3) Making judgments; At the end of the course, the student will be able to independently read papers and books on advanced economics, implementing critical analysis in research.
4) Communication skills; Knowledge of the course program will allow the student to acquire the technical language of the subject, allowing to effectively address the discussion of the topics covered
5) Ability to learn (learning skills). At the end of the course, the student will be able to undertake, even autonomously, subsequent insights into the topics addressed.
Prerequisites
basic knowledge of economics, interest for technological innovation in economics
Books
Fundamentals of economics are present in many textbooks, probably already in the possession of students.
There is no updated textbook on cryptocurrencies and blockchains. Summary slides will be provided.
