Course program
The course includes the study of specialized academic English (ESP) at the upper-intermediate level, B2, thus combining the study of upper-intermediate grammar with that of business vocabulary. Grammatical topics: - Future perfect simple and continuous, - Phrases with "be" to express the future and to express certainty and probability, - Conditionals and their linkers, - Articles, - Adverbials and time expressions, - Phrasal verbs, - Reported speech, - Passive voice, also in the modals. Vocabulary: - elements of corporate culture, - hr: training and development, coaching and mentoring, brainstorming, - finance and economy, - business and technology: the digital world, - performance Ability: - a self-presentation, - exchanging ideas, - meetings, negotiations and business proposals, - emails, - structuring a company news blog, - annual report summaries, - recent news, current news and future plans, - a press release. Since the course is a "laboratory", active participation of students in doing exercises in class is expected. English language at B1 level.
